Enjoy this festive sparkling drink at your next holiday cocktail hour.
The addition of a dry sparkling wine gives a mint julep a refreshing,
effervescent taste that complements bourbon whiskey's caramelised notes.
This minty, slightly sweet, and not too boozy cocktail pairs well with roasted meats and vegetables, substantial stews, or a herb-infused rack of lamb.
You can use cava, Champagne, or another sparkling wine for prosecco. Keep your components cool to make a chilly drink.
INGREDIENTS6 mint leaves + extra for serving.
3/4 oz. simple syrup

Crushed ice
3 oz. dry prosecco
1 dash Angostura bitters
Muddle mint leaves and simple syrup with a muddler or wooden spoon handle in a mint julep or highball glass until mint is dark green and loses shape.
