Pinwheel Sandwiches Recipe

Pinwheel sandwiches with retro swirls are suitable for lunchboxes, game day spreads, and afternoon snacks. Easy to build, they look wonderful on a platter, and are party-ready.

To create them, top flour tortillas with ranch-flavored mayonnaise, cheese, deli meats, and lettuce. Roll them tightly and slice. See, simple!

Mayonnaise: I think practically no sandwich is complete without mayo, but if you don't like it, you can use goat cheese, hummus, or avocado instead.

Ranch spice: Ranch spice adds flavor to mayonnaise without compromising its thickness. Many ranch dressing recipes use mayo as a base, blended with sour cream, so we're preparing a thicker, mayo-heavy dressing.

Flour Tortillas: These pliable tortillas give us the pinwheel shape without cracking or falling apart. Flour tortillas are used in practically every wrap recipe due to their mellow, almost greasy flavor and somewhat chewy texture.

American or cheddar cheeses are classics. American cheese is creamier and more flexible than cheddar, which has more bite and taste, but both match well with deli meats in vibrant sandwiches and wraps.

Thin slices of salty, sweet, slightly smoky ham and light, fresh turkey make a great sandwich. Dual meat sandwiches have more flavor and depth than each alone. Both are easy to buy at most stores and delis and come honey-baked, smoked, oven-roasted, etc. Feel free to try your favorite variants.
