Manchego Devils on Horseback Recipe

A delicious, one-bite party app with Manchego and pepperoncini stuffed dates, wrapped in savory prosciutto, and glazed with maple vinegar will have guests raving all night.  

Ingredients 2 Tbsp sherry vinegar 2 tsp pure maple syrup 1 tsp olive oil 24 split, pitted Medjool dates (12 oz.)  

1-four-ounce Manchego cheese block, sliced into 24 pieces 1/3 c. pepperoncini slices 6 thin prosciutto slices (3 oz.) sliced lengthwise into 1-inch strips  

Preheat oven to 400°F. Cover rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and wire rack.  

Step 2 Mix vinegar, maple syrup, and oil in a small basin.  

Step 3 Wrap 1 strip prosciutto around 1 slice Manchego and 1 slice pepperoncini in each date. Lay seam-side down on wire rack.  

Step 4 Bake 6 minutes to soften cheese. Baste with vinegar  

mixture and bake 6 minutes more until prosciutto is crispy and cheese is melted and heated.
