This handmade sushi is incredibly easy and enjoyable to prepare! It is definitely sushi for people who are hesitant to eat sushi!
This also makes an excellent appetizer, and my entire family enjoys them! The majority of these items are readily available at your local grocery,
and the end result is delicious! Serve alongside a bowl of soy sauce and a chunk of wasabi.
Ingredients⅔ cup water⅓ cup medium-grain white rice, uncooked6 tablespoons rice vinegar
4 ounces smoked salmon, cut into strips2 ounces cold cream cheese, cut into thin strips4 scallions, sliced into thin strips
In a saucepan, heat the water and rice until they boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes,
or until the rice is soft and the water has been absorbed. Remove from the heat and let cool for about 10 minutes. Toss in vinegar.
Place one sheet of nori on a rolling mat, then layer with 1/4 of the rice and flatten it out to the edges. Spread 1/4 of the salmon, 1/4 of the cream cheese, and 1/4 of the scallions across the center.
