French Toast Casserole

Ingredients for this dish include challah bread, eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt.  

French toast casserole is created in two parts: the casserole and the cinnamon streusel. To make the casserole, cut bread into cubes and arrange them in a baking pan.  

Make a custard to pour over the bread by whisking together eggs, milk, cinnamon, sugar, cream, and vanilla.  

Allow the bread to soak in the egg mixture in the fridge for at least a few hours to fully absorb the flavors.  

To make the cinnamon streusel topping, combine flour, cinnamon, sugar, and salt in a mixing dish.   

Add cold slices of butter and stir until the topping crumbles. When you're ready to make the french toast,   

simply sprinkle the crumbles over the bread mixture and bake everything together.   

When the french toast is browned and cooked through, remove it from the oven, allow it to cool slightly, and serve with syrup and fresh fruit.
