Bloomin' Apples Recipe

We made a fall dessert inspired by the bloomin' onion. These bloomin' apples are easy to create despite their spectacular appearance.

After chopping them down (it's easier than you think—watch the video), fill with chewy caramel squares, brush with melted butter, and bake! Vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle may make apple pie obsolete.

Ingredients Cooking spray 4 Tbsp. melted butter 1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar A tablespoon granulated sugar Half tsp. ground cinnamon

4 apples 8 chewy caramel squares Breyers Natural vanilla ice cream, serving Caramel for drizzle

Heat oven to 375° and spray a medium baking dish. Mix butter, sugars, and cinnamon in a small bowl.

In Step 2, slice the top of each apple and remove the core using a corer. If required, remove any remaining core with a small spoon. Make two circular apple incisions with a paring knife.

Slice crosswise on a chopping board with the apple cut side down, avoiding the core.

In Step 3, place cut apples in a small baking dish. Brush melted butter mixture on each apple after adding two caramel squares. Bake apples for 30 minutes until soft. Step 4: Serve warm with ice cream and caramel drizzle.
