Satay Sauce Recipe
Move over BBQ sauce! Use creamy peanut butter to make restaurant-quality Thai peanut satay sauce.
This sauce goes well with noodles and grilled meat.
This creamy, spicy, acidic, and slightly sweet Thai satay sauce with peanut butter is delicious.
The taste explosion of hot jalapenos, gingerroot, garlic, green onions,
and cilantro pairs well with chicken satay, coconut rice, and other Thai meals.
Leftover peanut satay sauce can be mixed with noodles for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter 1/3 cup canned coconut milk 2 chopped green onions 1 seeded, coarsely chopped tiny jalapeño 2–3 teaspoons lime juice
Two teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce One minced garlic clove 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp fresh cilantro minced 1 tsp fresh gingerroot minced
Whisk ingredients in a small bowl until combined. Cover and chill until serving.
