Mix cake mix, gelatin, sugar, and flour in a large bowl. Mix water, oil, and eggs for 30 seconds on low.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 25-30 minutes. Wait 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks and removing paper. Cool fully.  

Beat butter in a small bowl until smooth for frosting. Mix in crushed strawberries. Beat in confectioners' sugar gradually till desired consistency. Frost cake between layers and on top and sides.
