Edna’s Ho Ho Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS Two tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 cup milk 2/3 cup sugar, split 2/3 cup shortening 1/3 cup softened butter 3/4 tsp vanilla  

Sprinkle salt. 2 9-inch chocolate round cakes For the glaze, use 1/4 cup of cubed butter. 1/4 cup baking cocoa 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar 2–4 tablespoons milk  

Stir flour and milk in a small saucepan until smooth; add 1/3 cup sugar for filling. Over medium heat, boil and stir for 2 minutes until thickened.  

Transfer to large dish to cool. Beat shortening, butter, vanilla, salt, and remaining sugar until creamy.  

Put between cake layers. In a small saucepan, heat butter and cocoa for glaze. Stir in confectioners' sugar and milk to drizzle. Pour over cake, letting some drip down.
